We will not have our normally scheduled meeting this week.  The District 6800 conference takes place this weekend in Tupelo, MS., and our very own Marty Petrusek will be installed as District Governor!  If you have not already made plans to attend and or registered, please click here to register.

This Friday, October 21, we will be having a club assembly meeting.  The meeting will focus on club-wide orientation.  Marty Petrusek will lead the club.  Whether you are a relatively new member, or have been around a while, you are sure to learn a thing or two about Rotary, and our club in particular (unless you are Dick Weiland.)  Come enjoy some lunch and learn about all things Memphis Central!

On Friday, March 18, 2011, Deborah Clubb (not pictured), executive director of the Memphis Area Women’s Council, will be our featured speaker.  The MAWC is a non-profit organization that aims to connect research with activists, in order to change policies and practices that limit the success of women and girls.

Ending corporal punishment in city schools.
Securing a living wage for Memphis and Shelby county employees.
