Cheyenne Johnson – Shelby Co. Property Assessor

This week’s speaker is Cheyenne Johnson.  Ms. Johnson is the Shelby County Assessor of Property.  She will be informing us about the ins and outs of property valuation in Shelby County.  Come hear what makes Shelby county unique, and bring your curiosity and questions. As usual, we meet at noon Friday, at the University of Memphis Holiday Inn, 3700 Central Ave.   Come enjoy a nice lunch, good conversation and hear an interesting speaker from the community.

This Friday, July 22 2011, the chairman of the Shelby County Election Commission, Robert Meyers, is going to be our speaker. You’ll learn everything you wanted to know, so bring questions and guests! From their website:

Shelby County Books from Birth

On Friday, February 4th, 2011, Nora Capwell, Executive Director of Shelby County Books from Birth, will be speaking at our meeting. Shelby County Books from Birth is the local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and a partner of the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation. They provide an age-appropriate book each month for children under five who register for the program and live in Shelby County.
